On June 29, 2004, Libertarian Presidential candidate Michael Badnarik visited Indianapolis to announce his mother, Elaine Badnarek, would be the Libertarian candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Indiana. Barry had the opportunity to meet Michael prior to the announcement.
